- When storing Vinyl Marine Flooring, please keep in a dry environment with temperatures ranging from 60° to 100°.
- Before starting your marine vinyl flooring installation, you’ll need to determine a location that is out of direct sunlight and with a lower humidity level. Heat and humidity can affect adhesives and the installation process.
- All products (vinyl roll out boat flooring and marine adhesive) must be allowed to acclimate to your chosen site for 24 hours prior to vinyl boat flooring installation.
- We do not recommend unrolling marine vinyl sheet rolls if the temperature is below 60°.
- For optimal pontoon flooring installation, the minimum temperature should be no less than 65 degrees for 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after installation.
What supplies will I need on hand to install Vinyl Marine Flooring for boats and pontoons? To install marine grade vinyl flooring on your boat deck, you should have the following:
- Vinyl Marine Flooring rolls
- The proper adhesive for your particular decking (see below)
- Pencil and paper to make patterns for trimming (if necessary)
- Staple gun and staples for edges
- Utility knife and straight edge for trimming
- Trowel or roller to apply adhesive
- Weighted roller for pressure – 75 lbs.
